I'm a Chartered Engineer and graduate of the
University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
I have worked over forty years in industry mostly as a mechanical design engineer but I also
have AutoCAD draughting and IT skills. I am particularly interested in the development
of design methods and use of computers for solving analytical problems. Since my retirement
I have been active in Volunteer Guiding for 15 years and have become interested in engineering
history. I am currently active as a Research Volunteer at Glasgow's Riverside Museum of
Transport and Travel.
