      This engine is a double-acting steam engine for marine applications. Based on the PS Waterman No. 9 engine.

    5. SS Simla Type Steeple Engine
      This engine is a marine double-acting steam engine based on the 1/4 scale SS Simla engine model at Riverside Museum, Glasgow.

    The diagrams shown in the following animations are typical of the Steam and Internal Combustion diagrams that could be recorded by these types of indicators. The indicator could also be used to record engine faults and faults in the indicator reducing gear and in the indicator itself.
